Dear Parent/Guardian, To support children during their settling-in period at school, Gnó na nÓg will offer flexible after-school childcare throughout September. Parents may choose an early collection at 3:00 p.m. or a full session until 5:45 p.m. Our special settling-in arrangements and fees are as follows: 1–4 September 11:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: £25 per day 11:00 a.m.–5:45 p.m.: £30 per day 7–11 September 12:00 noon–3:00 p.m.: £19 per day 12:00 noon–5:45 p.m.: £30 per day 14–18 September 1:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.: £13 per day 1:00 p.m.–5:45 p.m.: £30 per day As Gnó na nÓg is fully registered and regulated by the Belfast Trust, eligible working parents who receive Universal Credit may be able to claim back up to 85% of their childcare costs. For example: A session costing £30 could receive up to £25.50 in Universal Credit childcare support, leaving the parent to pay only £4.50. A session costing £19 could receive up to £16.15 in support, leaving the parent to pay only £2.85. A session costing £13 could receive up to £11.05 in support, leaving the parent to pay only £1.95. We are also registered with the Northern Ireland Childcare Subsidy Scheme (NICSS). Eligible parents who are not receiving Universal Credit childcare support may be able to receive a 15% reduction in their childcare fees. For example: A £30 session would be reduced to £25.50. A £19 session would be reduced to £16.15. A £13 session would be reduced to £11.05. All support is subject to individual eligibility and the relevant scheme’s conditions. Please let me know which days your child will attend and whether you require childcare until 3:00 p.m. or 5:45 p.m. Places must be booked in advance to allow us to arrange appropriate staffing. We understand that starting school is a significant transition. Our staff will provide a calm, welcoming and supportive environment to help every child settle comfortably.
